Heritage Christian School

Uniform Standard of Dress 2014-2015 SCHOOL YEAR

Middle and High School

Heritage Christian School seeks to achieve two purposes with our Uniform Standard of Dress; modesty and neatness. As a Christian school, it is important that our students dress in a way that meets our mission to glorify God. Standards for appearance can be a means of building character and distinction in the lives of our students. While aspects of our standard of dress are derived from biblical principles, others are a reflection of choice by Heritage Christian School. We seek to train students to have high standards of dress that do not cause them to distract from the school day, thus we desire our students to be modest and neat in their attire. It is also important to recognize that parents, as the primary educators of their children, play a key role in this area of standard of dress. It is incumbent upon parents to guide and supervise their young people in the selection of appropriate clothing. Accordingly, the dress code is intended to make known in as clear a way as possible the position and guidelines of Heritage Christian School.
